School is Back and so are Launch Pad’s Programs!

HANOVER, ON - August 30, 2022: Registrations for Launch Pad’s 2022 Fall After-School Programs are now open. The Hanover-based youth technology and skills centre strives to provide local youth with new skills and opportunities to help them discover their paths.

Launch Pad’s Fall After-School Programs will include the core trades programming such as welding, woodshop, and culinary, as well as the return of some recent favourites for youth to explore including video game development, automotive, and hair styling. In partnership with Graham’s Transportation Service, Launch Pad continues to offer free, round trip transportation for youth registered in the youth centre’s programs.

“We’ve seen an incredible amount of youth from all over Grey Bruce come to Launch Pad these past few seasons,” said Nicholas Manglal-lan, Interim Executive Director at Launch Pad. “With youth coming from all over – Walkerton, Chesley, Durham, and more – the transportation service has been a huge benefit for us and the parents.”

The fall programs start October 3, 2022 and will run from Monday to Thursday for eight weeks. Launch Pad’s free Drop-In service for ages 12-18 also returns to its after-school hours of 3:30pm-8pm, from Monday to Thursday, starting on Monday, September 12 with plans for new activities throughout the school year.

Launch Pad continues to monitor the COVID-19 situations and follows the appropriate precautionary guidelines being recommended by various Canadian health authorities, including the Grey Bruce Public Health, Ontario Health, and the Public Health Agency of Canada.

Launch Pad is an innovative youth centre located in Hanover that empowers Grey-Bruce youth. We provide fun and inclusive skill building opportunities to promote career discovery. By working with our community, we lead a team of experienced volunteers to build a variety of skill sets to help our youth succeed.
